There is nothing like the perfect summer day. Not to hot, a cool breeze, the perfect blue sky and breakfast plans. We could not have asked for a more perfect morning, so there was no other place for breakfast than, The Beachcomber.
It is a bit of a hike to get to The Beachcomber. There is a trolly you can take down to the beach area but, I prefer to walk the trail to the beach and take the trolly ride back up to my car, once my belly is full.
While you wait for your table there are several picnic tables to sit at. I think Sandra is right! Each picnic table has a different name and saying on it.
I ordered the Ranch Scramble. Scrambled eggs with bacon, portuguese sausage, peppers, onions, cheddar cheese and salsa. This was so yummy I didn’t want to share.
The Farmers Market Frittata was also excellent. But, I think I like my ranch scramble much more! We were both being good, fruit, not potatoes on the side.
I love the history of this beach, in the 1920’s many silent movies were filmed here. There are pictures of the cove as early as 1917. Filmmakers picked this spot for its tropical look. For many years, residence of the cove used thatch palms to emulate the look of Tahiti, to help filmmakers needs.
If you are in the Orange County, Ca area, this is a restaurant you don’t want to miss. Make sure you have plenty of time to enjoy the view!
