The great thing about meatballs is that there are so many things to do with them. You can eat them plain or with a marinara sauce, in a sandwich or with spaghetti. You can make them small and put a tooth pick in them for an appetizer, or you can make them huge for a meal! The possibilities are endless. The best thing about meatballs besides the great taste…they are so easy to make! Instead of chopping my onions, I grate my onions. This is something my mom has always done when making meatballs. By grating the onion it gives you that wonderful onion flavor without having to crunch into an piece of onion.
Roll each meatball to your desired size and place on a cookie sheet

3/4 Lb ground pork
1/2 grated onion
1/2 cup panko bread crumbs
1/3 cup grated parmesan cheese
4 shakes tabasco sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon italian seasoning
**you could use all ground hamburger if you did not want to use pork.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Do not over mix.
Shape meat mixture to desired size meatballs and place on a foil lined cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray.
I like to use a cookie scoop to shape the meatballs, it makes them uniform.
Bake in oven for 18 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
