A couple of weeks ago was national donut day and my Handsome surprised the family by bringing home two boxes (we have a buy one get one free card) of Krispy Kreme Donuts. When he first walked in to the house with those boxes of wonderfulness, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on one, two, ok, maybe…three, but, by the third one that tempting delightful fried dough ring dunked in warm sugar glaze wore off, for all of us. At first, I thought I should just throw them away, get them out of the house for this was now day 3 of having them sit on my counter not being eaten.
Instead, I decided to give them new life by making a delicious, melt in your mouth Krispy Kreme bread pudding. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.

I put fresh blueberries in mine out of our orchard and it was fantastic.
Fresh blueberries sounds like a wonderful addition to this decadent bread pudding!

I love bread pudding; I was just at the Italian market yesterday and was so tempted to buy some. OMG I cannot imagine how good this is, warm, with a little dab of vanilla bean ice cream.

Just took it out of the oven….. OMG. Looks fabulous ❤️ I had 7 krispy kreme glazed left over which is amazing in it’s self ? Thank you for sharing this recipe…. I will now call it my own ❤️️
Now I just hold a few donuts back just so I can make it. Hope you enjoyed it!
Can’t wait to try. What size baking dish?
Hi Ken, I used a 6×6, but a 8×8 would work also!
Is it possible to multiply this dish for a large party of people, like for Thanksgiving?
Amy, You can double the recipe and split the dough between 2 cast iron pans.
Does it Giggle or Jiggle? Either way delish!
Libby, Thanks for alerting me to that! I got a good giggle out of it! It really is delicious!
Can you assemble the night before, refrigerate, and bake in the morning? Or will it be soggy?
I haven’t tried it, but I would maybe add less liquid. Please let me know what you did and how it turned out. Thanks.
I’m making this tonight for my husband. He loves bread pudding. He usually picks up some from 4 rivers smokehouse and sometimes they use Krispy Kreme donuts in their restaurants. Now he won’t have to buy any.
Thank you for making this recipe it is one of my all-time favorites! Enjoy!
I made this recently for a birthday at work. It was AWESOME! People asked when I started making bread pudding into something so high addictive. Tha ka! I did add a touch more cinnamon and some nutmeg to mine. But it was fabulous!
My son has been making this for the last few months. Bread pudding is my husband’s favorite dessert. We have made this recipe with KK glazed, grocery store glazed & butter croissants. Unfortunately, the nearest KK is about 20 miles away so sometimes we have to improvise. Honestly, they all are delicious. Thanks for such a wonderful, life changing recipe! My husband actually wanted this instead of a birthday cake this year! You are the “Godess of Desserts”.
