It seems like my girl’s remove their nail polish and re-paint their nails daily.
I go through a ton of nail polish remover and cotton rounds!
I remember years ago when I painted my nail frequently, buying a jar that had a sponge and nail polish remover in it from the drug store. From what I can remember, the remover lasted longer and it was so much easier to remove the polish from my nails. A few twists of my fingers and the polish was completely removed.
I knew I could make a copy of that handy gadget with the items I had right at home.
I recently had purchased tiny mason jars {just in case I needed them, I do that a lot. I get it from my mom}
I used one for the Homemade Nail Remover Polish Jar and the other three with well…I can fill them with the perfect size dessert, as a reward {any excuse}!
Then all I needed was a sponge, a bottle of nail polish remover and scissors.
And here’s how I made my Homemade Nail Polish Remover Jar…
Supplies
1 small glass jar with a tight fitting lid
1 kitchen sponge cut in half lengthwise
1 bottle of nail polish remover
How to Assemble
- Roll sponges in a spiral
- Place sponges in the glass jar so the sponges fit snugly
- Pour in enough nail polish remover so the sponge is saturated
TIPS
- If you use a sponge with a scrubber side {like I did}, just make sure the scrubber side is facing the outside of the jar. Not where your nail will go.
- This Homemade Nail Polish Remover Jar, removes glitter nail polish like a charm!
- Make sure the lid is on securely and tight so the nail polish remover will not leak or evaporate.
Hope this makes your life a bit easier!

This is absolutely brilliant! I saw this at Sephora and wanted one but it was pricey. This just the ticket! Thanks for the great idea!
