Tucked away in the beautiful quaint seaside village of La Jolla, California, you will find the luxurious Estancia Hotel & Spa. As soon as we drove on to the property, I was instantly surrounded by plants, flowers and fountains. It felt as though we were in a secret garden.
This trip was special, My handsome has been taking our son to football games across the country for years, yet I have never done a one on one trip with either of our girl’s. So, this was the week-end, just my daughter Nina and I. We were both very excited to explore the beautiful city of La Jolla.
Our room was charming, with a lovely view of the lush gardens. One of my favorite things in our hotel room was, the comfy chair and the plush pillow, They were so comfortable, I wanted to take both home with me. I know this must sound silly, but I love that the bottled water in the room was included. I can’t tell you how many times I have gotten to a hotel room, tired from traveling and just needing a sip of water. Later to find out, that sip of bottled water cost me $10.00. That drives me insane. There are several elegant fountains throughout the grounds.
Don’t you just love the sound of fountains? I can sit and listen to the sound of bubbling water for hours.
Everywhere you looked there were private paths planted with lavish overflowing greenery. Along with private out of the way sitting areas. The pool area is beautiful, plenty of seating and private cabana’s. Located next to the pool is a bar. The pool fireplace, was definitely a place where we had to get a seat early in the evening before they were all taken. It was a great place to enjoy the lovely evening fire and meet other guests at the hotel.
